XL Variegated Nephrolepis 'Tigerfern' - Boston Fern

The Nephrolepis Variegata, commonly known as the Boston Fern, is an elegant variety of exaltata evergreen sword fern produced through selective breeding. They are incredibly popular as houseplants for bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchens, as they are vivid in colour, non-toxic to pets, and easy to care for. The Nephrolepis genus is often found in the radiant emerald forests and swamps of Central and South America.

Taking care of the Nephrolepis is a straight forward process – simply place the plant in a bright area but away from direct sunlight and keep the compost moist, though avoid overwatering it. It is recommended that it gets at least two hours of indirect sunlight per day to keep it in good health. It thrives in mild or moderately humid environments due to its origin, though can handle drier atmospheres if watered appropriately.

Overall, it is an iconic, picturesque and captivating houseplant that can be put in a pot or placed in a hanging basket, which provides plenty of freedom when choosing where it resides. It is easy to look after, thrives without direct sunlight, and adds the pleasant warmth of nature anywhere and everywhere it goes. Suitable for modern environments and classical environments, modern architecture and ancient – this charming fern will never look out of place no matter where it goes.

Your plant will be delivered in a 20cm pot with a minimum height of 45cm.
