Houseplant Size Guide

At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:
Plant Height:
Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.
Pot Size:
Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.
Choosing the Right Size
To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.
Important Notes
- Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
- If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.

You're lucky you found me!
A Dionaea muscipula plant with a bite - this little snapper is surely a showstopper piece with the added benefit of a little fly crowd control! With a low lying stature, this plant lies in wait for its catch. The green and red hues add a warmth to this already tropical looking plant. An unusual piece perfect for an subtle yet striking impression. Perfect for desks with a little added humidity, or steamy kitchens and bathrooms!
Please note as a natural product, trap count and appearance can vary plant-to-plant. During Winter, plants may arrive with fewer or no traps as part of their seasonal dormancy cycles.
At Houseplant.co.uk, we're proud to offer a fascinating selection of British-grown carnivorous plants that are perfectly suited to our climate. Our collection includes native species like Drosera (sundew) and hardy varieties such as Sarracenia (pitcher plant) Our Venus flytraps (Dionaea muscipula) and Cape sundews (Drosera capensis) are excellent choices for beginners, offering both beauty and entertainment as they catch their prey. For optimal growth, ensure they receive full sun, use rainwater for watering, and maintain a well-draining acidic soil mix.
Did you know that many carnivorous species can be grown outside in the UK? This variety copes well in coastal regions and mild areas provided temperatures do not dip below 5°C.
