Marimo, meaning in Japanese - 'Seaweed Ball' - are a curious spherical algae that is considered lucky. Marimo is a rare growth form of Aegagropila Linnaei, a fancy name for a special kind of Algae. It can be found in lakes and rivers in Japan and Northern Europe where the climate permits its natural growth, though populations are on the decline. Instagram worthy, Marimo Balls are fuzzy little cuties are perfect for a low maintenance plant pet!
