You can tell that real care and thought went into the order - even down to the confirmation email automatically attaching printable care guide links for each plant. Perhaps buying rare plants from this website is a good idea. I purchased a yellow rose, which was significantly more expensive than those available at Waitrose or Sainsbury's, both of which are just a 3-minute walk from my place. Additionally, I had to wait 6 days to receive it. Have to say that I am not really satisfied with this purchase.

I was disappointed with some of my plants after delivery. Some had broken stems and leaves. Also a lot of the soil in the pots had fallen out. Had to top up two pots. The spider plant had several stems broken and the dolphin plant was in a bad way also. Won’t be ordering from them again.

After our cat had to go...

After our cat had to go to a foster home while we were in a temporary place that didn't allow cats, his foster carer had an Areca Palm that he loved. As a welcome home present, we bought one to help him settle in. We love it as much as he does. The plant came well-packaged and with the pot we bought for it in the same box and packed in a way to protect both the pot and the plant, it arrived safely and very fast delivery. Untrustworthy delivery, rotting plant

They went with DX Delivery for my orchid, and the courier gave it to a house ages away (not neighbours, 6 houses down) with an obviously wrong house number. When I found it 3 days later (delivered friday...) the leaves were okay, but the roots were completely rotten beyond salvaging: ive had to cut EVERY root off. That doesnt happen in 3 days either. Still waiting on further contact. Edit: i did get a full refund in the end, so not completely devastated.

The plants were good quality and packaged well, though the soil did come out of one pots a bit. It states if you order later on Thursday, which I did, the plants would be dispatched on the Monday. Mine arrived on the Monday, which I was not expecting so that means the plants must have been with the delivery company over the weekend. Luckily no damage done.

I have a great and positive experience ordering with Houseplant.co.uk. I am a regular at ordering plants online and order from a number of online providers. I have to say on my experience with Houseplant.co.uk, my two small kalanchoe succulent plants both came individually wrapped very well, easy for me to unwrap without losing any leaves, as this succulent can be fragile. Both plants were bright coloured and healthy soil was moist on arrival. Will order again in the future great customer experience

I have only ever been buying...

I have only ever been buying my plants from this site. They arrive so quickly and in such good health. I would say how many plants I have bought from here, but there are just too many. Delivery was fast and they were secure in packaging. I have only had a small issue once with my Hawaiian palm having two yellow leaves when it arrived but other than that it was healthy and I have never had that issue before so I'm sure its a one off. Will always be using these. I am looking often to see if they update their stock for new plants.

I purchased 4 houseplants from this...

I purchased 4 houseplants from this company. On the plus side the plants arrived quickly but one in particular showed signs of damage/disease. I complained and the customer service team offered me a voucher but it was for less than the value of the plant. Despite following care instructions and cutting off the dead leaves the plant eventually died. Another plant purchased from them is also slowly dying. I wouldn’t purchase any plants from this company again as their customer service isn’t up to scratch and the quality of the plants / survival rates when compared to other delivery options isn’t as good

I bought a box of plants that was in need of care. Well yes I was expecting half dead plants. But these plants were all alive and looking healthy so it was a risk but a very good one. So now I have a mix of plants that I would have never bought plus as I'm not a plant head this gives me the opportunity to test my skills in keeping them going. Experience with working with them. plus a superb Christmas feeling when opening them to see what I got. Order came well packaged (only complaint being too much plastic packaging) and as advertised, and was delivered in time. The plants were healthy and guess it’s now up to me to ensure they continue to remain so!!!! A little more detail in the website on each plant, it’s seasonal changes etc, would be good especially for amateur gardeners like me!

Great experience and an amazing selection of plants to select from. Delivery was also spot on and the plants were well wrapped/covered. The only critism is that some of the plants weren't in the best condition with regards to being trimmed and a good shape, specifically a Monkey Mask and a Boston Fern. Personally I put this down to pick of the bunch but depends what plants you get. Overall, great experience and amazing additions to the house, will be buying again for sure.

I took a bit of a chance ordering from this company as I hadn't actually heard of them before. I've also had a real hit and miss experience ordering houseplants online in the past. But I couldn't have been happier. They were dispatched and delivered really quickly. They arrived really well packaged. Actually they were by far the best packaged plants I have ever received. The plants themselves were really healthy and came with good information. I also though the price point was really good and they had a good selection of plants. I've ordered plants online from various suppliers over the years, but this has been the best experience. Only two, a begonia and a Christmas cactus, a small order, but packed with care and good sense. All materials recyclable of course. The plants were in excellent condition and the accompanying advice sheet was helpful and put together by someone who clearly loved their work!

Pleased with my purchase

I've ordered a Cambria orchid which arrived as expected and in great condition, currently in bloom. Very pleased with the purchase. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the package contains a leaflet with general plant instructions but nothing specific for the plant you've bought. I think something along the lines of water once a week, place in a bright location and feed this often while in bloom /dormant would be very useful and therefore your wouldn't need to search online. It's not much more effort perhaps 1-2 paragraphs.

Terrible company, totally deceived with the size of the plants they were sending. Most were close to half the size that I had paid for. Emailed for support and a week later no reply. I have had 4 separate promotional emails since then and one asking for a review, so here you are. Really bad value, can get stuff much healthier and larger for the same money in the supermarket or at a market. Attached a photo if the plant they sent (small one) next to one I already had that was the size that they were supposed to send.

Chose a big plant for my daughter's birthday to replace one she had lost (guest's overwatering!) and she's thrilled. Very swift delivery thanks to the initiative of the driver and an obliging neighbour. In a hurry so maybe I didn't see an option to include a message nor a pot that would fit. No matter because she didn't need either but would be nice to see such options in the future.

Website is clear, with enough information to allow me to make a choice - but not overwhelming for a novice like me. Delivery was quick - slightly delayed as they hold back to avoid plants being stuck mid delivery over the weekend, which is sensible. Plants arrived in good condition, with a good courier company - not one of the cheap ones that looses your parcel. Very good quality plants, I just need to look after them now. First time shopping here. Happy with the quality of plants. The only thing I wished I had more info on was the orchid phal I bought, it’s a miniature size which I didn’t realise from the description. The satin pothos size was a little smaller than I expected. I expected 20-30cm height but it’s barely 15cm. I suppose this depends on where you are measuring from and to but one would expect it would be the length of the plant as it’s a trailing plant. Overall packaging very very good. Would shop again

This is the first time that I have ever ordered any house plants online, having been worried in the past about how the plants would survive being posted, but it certainly wont be the last! My wife recently got into house plants in a BIG way. Starting at monsteras and alocasias, it hasn't taken long for her to get into rarer specimens, so I was searching for philodendron pink princess all over the internet. Houseplant.co.uk were not only the cheapest I found, but, after ordering on Monday morning, it arrived Tuesday afternoon in immaculate condition (a distance of at least a few hundred miles)! It was boxed with clear, 'This way up' labels on it and the plant was packed in air bags and bubble wrap - there was even recycled packaging to keep the soil in place during transit. The plant itself was in perfect condition and much bigger than I was expecting. Result? A very happy wife! Thank you so much, Houseplant. You've definitely gained a repeat customer!
