Being a very fussy houseplant collector...

Being a very fussy houseplant collector and especially a lover of large impact houseplants I decided to look for a fairly rare plant and I had been eyeing up this Syngonium Albomarginata Variegata Aurea Arrowhead Vine for weeks before plunging into buying it. I had searched high and low for the largest specimen I could find online and this store was the only store that had the largest specimen, and the added bonus of a nice discount to boot sealed the deal. From ordering to taking receipt of my plant was 2 days, that's good service in my books. The post arrived carefully handled sitting transit as there was no damage to the packaging, the plant was wrapped and the pot wrapped in cling film, so all in all very happy with this part, now the plant was at the taller of the advertised height which is good too and no damage to any of the leaves. I'm always nervous buying rare out any decent sized houseplants online, but this store has exceeded my fussy standards for delivery and packaging and plant quality. Big thumbs up..

However, the pot I ordered with the plant was delivered completely broken, I guess that can happen, no problem - I dropped a quick email back with a photo asking for a replacement, 2 chasers - no response in 27 days so far. String of pearls

I bought three plants as a Christmas gift, 2 of the plants were in great condition however the third was rather disappointing. It was a string of pearls plant and not in very good condition with only one dangling string which had to be snipped off as it was dead.

For once, everything happened as it should. This is unlike most delivery companies. I was concerned how live plants would arrive at my house via courier but delighted when they did. Healthy, well watered and wrapped with clinging film and straw. As such there were no discplacements of soil or foliage damage at all. Top notch service!

I have yet to receive my plants because you use a courier that doesn't do the job he's paid to do. It's winter and my plants have been in a freezing cold van for two days & nights and I'm told they can't be delivered for another two days & nights. By the time my plants arrive they will be in a very poor state.

Terrrible delivery service!…

2 stars from me because they use the delivery company DX. Read the reviews here your self about DX, they're notoriously unreliable and impossible to contact. I recently ordered a small house plant and it's been delivered to Glasgow (I live in Edinburgh). Despite DX making the mistake it's apparently up to me to sort out the issue and reschedule delivery (2 days later than it should have been). God knows what state my poor plant will be in when it's finally delivered (if at all!)! I will never order anything again from Houseplants UK while they continue to use DX for their deliveries. Be warned!

This was my first purchase from Houseplant, so I was not sure how it would work out. I was not disappointed! I was kept fully aware of the progress from when I placed the order, through dispatch and right up till it reached my front door. Not only was it well documented, it was also quick - 3 days from order to receipt. I was very impressed with the packaging. I undid it all, lifted out the plant (noting that all the flowers were still intact), put it into a ceramic pot and then onto the window sill. Now it is down to me to keep it in that excellent condition.

My beautiful house plants are phenomenal. They have been grown to perfection and delivered in perfect packaging that doesn't harm the plant. So helpful that you get helpful tips and plant care instructions, in with your delivery aswel as when you purchase, they email you the plant care, so you can prepare yourself for what plant you have brought. For example , I started collecting rain water for one of my plants as in the plant care instructions, they advised how the plant thrives of rain water.

My plants arrived wrapped well, though I would have preferred less plastic waste. Also, the material put around the plant itself did damage some leaves on my African Violet. Overall, the plants looked in good condition, though maybe a bit smaller than I realised they would be. I am happy enough that I would order from them again.

Arrived early. Ordered on the 6th arrived on the 7th of June. Plants all safely and securely wrap, not one grain of soil lost. Should have ordered more, present for a family member. Put 3 in a pot he absolutely loves them. The others are being added to my cacti collection. Had a query after I had placed the order, (evening) received a reply the next morning. Amazing thank you once again.

Succulent Order from Houseplants.Co.Uk

I ordered a number of succulents. Firstly, I would say that they all arrived alive. Some of them (from the succulove box) were not so great - they were so dried out and needed some immediate care. The remaining plants I ordered were good, except for one. I paid £15-£16 for a pink jelly bean plant and it was in really poor condition. This was not because the plant was badly grown or poorly looked after, but was poorly packaged. It was packed so tightly, the plant was damaged. Now I hope it survives, but It does not look good. I know why plants are well packed - but the clingfilm should not be so tight the plants are damaged in the process. Overall, not the most brilliant experience, but OK in the main. The larger plants, in particular the sunrise succulent and money plant are really lovely specimens. I have popped all my new plants in to their new pots, with their new special soil and decorative mini stones and have given them a tiny water and some succulent food, so let's see how we go.

Ordered a Monstera Received one quickly Few issues though , a torn leaf that had browning on the torn edges ( means was torn before shipping ) Also damaged leaf stem on the underside causing the leaf to fold. I mean these were not huge faults really as the plant appears healthy. But I was expecting a perfect plant given their freshness guarantee.

I am very pleased with my first order. They were delivered quickly and were so healthy. I was a little surprised the plants were packaged in such a narrow tall box, but they were so well packed and prepared that no damage could have occurred. The despatch date was a little loose. Ordered on Thursday waited until Tuesday until it was sent. Not the end of the world (they say nothing is despatched on Fridays for a good reason) Couriers are ‘ok’ - 2 hour window of delivery on day of delivery. Plant was packaged really well, roots, stems and leaves were immaculate as was the pot - fully bubbled wrapped. Item was exactly as described now it’s up to me to keep it alive! Issues with delivery ignoring requested neighbour drp off so plants were boxed up and being moved around for a couple of extra days until i could reschedule delivery. My plants had some minor damage, probably because of above, but nothing I can't sort. Lovely plants at a fair price. Will use again.

The very pretty delicate and expensive orchid somehow managed to make it to my house intact and undamaged, if bone dry. Delivered Saturday, tracking said I have changed the delivery day which was a lie, when it was due Friday. The cardboard box was squashed and ripped despite having fragile stamped all over it. I would hope you would rethink your delivery courier and revert to support the Royal Mail. I very much begrudge having paid 4.99 express delivery for such a service.

Thought I was ordering some great deals, with decent discounts off regular prices. Plants arrived quickly, exceedingly well packaged - unfortunately, a little too tightly wrapped, as some of the foliage on plants was squashed and simply fell off when out of the packaging. Additionally, those bargains I thought I'd found turned out to be not so great - plants were all very healthy-looking, but all of them deviated greatly from the stated size ranges on the website (a tradescantia advertised as 10-20cm in size measured no more than 8cm at its single tallest point). Given how much I paid versus what I received, I think it'll probably be better to just buy from a local seller in future, as I'll at least be able to see exactly what I'm getting.

Really happy I discovered these guys. Fantastic selection of plants. Took a punt and ordered an orchid rescue box along with another plant. Everything arrived literally within two days of placing the order. Really good communication from both the vendor and the courier, including updated timings for delivery (both a window for delivery and an actual ETA), which was really helpful. Plants arrived perfectly packaged, individually wrapped in card, to protect plant and pot, with straw to stop any substrate escaping. And air packaging to buffer all within the box. Can't recommend these guys highly enough and will definitely be back for me!
