Truly amazing my...

Truly amazing my plants arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The plants, four of them, had all been careful packed to protect their leaves and branches. It was the most lovely experience to unwrap them one by one and see that each and every one had been packed with love. They look perfect sitting on my sideboard, and two days later look wonderful and very healthy. I can wait to order more, and I shall always be buying my plants from Houseplant in future. House Plant UK is great!

The delivery was very fast and they were getting it ready on Saturday too for dispatch so I got it on Monday. The delivery wasn’t too expensive either. The plants came packaged very well with no damage to them and also with an little leaflet that provided some information on how to best take care of the plants. Overall would highly recommend House Plant UK.

It was in great condition when it arrived with no dead leaves and no real damage to speak of. It was very well packaged in quality paper lining. The plant looked fresh and bushy when I opened the parcel which is great... needed no nursing back to life. The plant looked like the one in the photo when I ordered it which is great as buying plants online can be a lottery. Would use this company again.

Cling film secured?!!

Received 3 plants in a box, too tightly packed in cling film so that the leaves of one plant were completely splayed and the other 2 were squashed into pots which were too small for the plants and secured with tightly packed cling film.?!!? I bought these 3 on the strength of previously buying a Yucca for myself and one as a birthday present for someone else. They were well packaged and in wonderful condition, healthy plants that are growing beautifully. Unfortunately the packaging of these 3 was over zealous with more thought going into squeezing them into a small space rather than the health of the plants. Have reported all 3 and given them some TLC. We'll see if they thrive in the future or completely fail. Watch this space!

Rare plant at a good discount...

Being a very fussy houseplant collector and especially a lover of large impact houseplants I decided to look for a fairly rare plant and I had been eyeing up this Syngonium Albomarginata Variegata Aurea Arrowhead Vine for weeks before plunging into buying it. I had searched high and low for the largest specimen I could find online and this store was the only store that had the largest specimen, and the added bonus of a nice discount to boot sealed the deal. From ordering to taking receipt of my plant was 2 days, that's good service in my books. The post arrived carefully handled sitting transit as there was no damage to the packaging, the plant was wrapped and the pot wrapped in cling film, so all in all very happy with this part, now the plant was at the taller of the advertised height which is good too and no damage to any of the leaves. I'm always nervous buying rare out any decent sized houseplants online, but this store has exceeded my fussy standards for delivery and packaging and plant quality. Big thumbs up.

Good condition and nicely packaged

The plants were very well packed, which is just as well as the delivery driver does not know what 'this way up' means. They were all in good condition with just 2 damaged 'tails' on the mousetails plant, which is much better than most online plants I have had delivered. The plants are all in good condition, although the soil was very dry. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the plants. I am not sure how you measure the height of the plants, but one I ordered was meant to be 20 - 30 cms, so I was expecting quite a tall plant. The only way it could be considered as anywhere near 20 - 30 cms is if you include the pot too, which as the pot is 10 cm tall and the total including the pot is only 21 cms, seems a little 'off' for a plant at £25 I believe is a little steep. Same goes for the other plants - 2 at 10 - 20 cms that are not near the 10 cm minimum unless the pot is included. I did hunt through the web page to try to find out how you measure the height, but could not find anything that tells you. Perhaps it needs to be made a lot clearer how you measure the height, as receiving a plant where the plant itself only measures 11 cm when you expected a plant at 20 - 30 cms, isn't right.

Not happy, Everything said it was going to be delivered either the Friday or Saturday express delivery… then I get an email after I paid stating all our posting is done Monday to Thursday which meant I could have missed last postage. Didn’t say anything until everything was paid for. So it arrived on Monday a day late and in my mother’s words… one was ok, the other looked as though it was well travelled. Really disappointed as two plants cost £29.99p were late and battered. Between this company and the card company which also let me down, what a crappy Mother’s Day experience I had this year!

Terrible delivery partner

Less to do with the plants and more concern with the delivery service. I've taken two full days to sit at home and wait because they keep pushing it back at the end of the day the delivery is due. No customer service from delivery service whatsoever. Spent over 100 pounds just to feel like i'm waiting around with no direction. Houseplant may not be directly responsible for the shipping company but as the company they've chosen to work with affects their user experience, I think they can do better.

Such a disappointment. I ordered two plants and a pot in two orders. The pot arrived smashed so completely it made me wonder what rough handling the poor plant in the same container had undergone. I emailed the website and I was immediately refunded for the pot with apologies. The plants were two different versions of the same plant and had the same care requirements. However the larger of the two was utterly bone dry dusty earth that looked like it has just come out of a fertiliser bag. I needed to re-pot it and the earth just fell away leaving me holding a group of stems and shoots that were not established as a complete plant. This plant was over 100cm tall and I did expect it to be established. The smaller plant was utterly waterlogged and the lowest leaf was yellow when the plant arrived. I have had them both a couple of days and the sodden plant now has two of the longest stems drooping and the three lowest leaves are yellowed and dying. I have sent another email with photographs requesting the return of this very sad plant for a refund and am awaiting a reply. It is so frustrating as a customer with concerns when you are unable to pick up the phone and speak to someone. A customer service with no telephone access lacks the human touch. An email conversation just doesn't work in the same

I bought my first plants from Houseplant UK and returned many times since. The quality is great, and plants are packaged very well to minimise stress during shipping. So far, I’ve ordered cuttings, plants on pits, a couple of Rescue Me boxes and all of them are thriving. I’m particularly proud of how well the rescued plants are doing, all 15 of those. If they were in too bad of a state or damaged further in transportation they wouldn’t survive. I also love the variety of the offering, only in this shop I found a couple of rare plants I now enjoy very much having in the house. To summarise, I can rely Houseplant will always have something I like and trust them with quality, I am also confident proper care will be taken to make sure plants stress is minimised while they are on the way. Now they are my go to shop for all things houseplants and I highly recommend them.

So we'll it took me half an hour to open them all. The rescue box had a variety of plants and sizes and though they are not perfect they are still in good condition. After spending almost an hour looking at and reading through all the different plants on the website, I finally decided on three fairly easy to care for plants. The website was easy to navigate with simple, yet clear instructions. Which is great for those us of who are novices. On arrival the plants were very carefully packaged and were beautiful. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the Aloe Vera plant having already had a large section chopped off (photos will be added to this review). Even so, I would recommend this company to others and will use them again.

I have ordered here a few times as they seem to have orchids which you cant quite find anywhere else at times! Really good stock! I have had a few issues with the plants I have ordered. For example I ordered 3 mystery orchids and they were all phals and they didnt really make it through transport so each died within 1-3 days. A few days ago I ordered one of their jewel orchids which only had two parts growing rather than the 3/4 in the images they showed on their website. I am aware there must be a lot of variablity as I ordered an oncidium and this had sgnificantly more pseudobulbs than their images provided (well impressed!), so take that in mind when ordering from here. Very receptive customer service whenever I emailed them about my concerns, thus would recommend them and would buy again. Just be aware of the variability and that fragile plants may indeed get damaged like orchids at times.

Ordered 9 days ago to be delivered in London. Still waiting. No replay to multiple emails. Terrible service, I do not recommend. Now going into 15 days with no delivery or refund. Every day they promise they will deliver the plants the following day, every day they reschedule.

Plants delivery and condition

The order wad executed well and received in good time, the one issue I have with my recent order is that the fern plant had half of the leaves twisted inwards as if they had neen crushed. I gave them a spray and caressed them back into shape, not sure how they would have been if delivery had taken longer.

Ordered 3 plants here. Previous experiences have been excellent. 2 of the 3 ordered were in less than desirable condition. On one of them, all but one of the stems had broken off. It has since died. On another the plant took up absolutely no space in the pot at all. It’s as if they were out of stock of the size I requested so they put a baby one in a larger pot with extra soil. Such a shame.

Two out of three aint bad, i suppose!!

I bought three plants, a crocodile fern, an Alocasia Portodora and an Alocasia Dragon Scale. The Dragon Scale began turning yellow and wilting the day after arrival. I contacted Houseplants.co.uk, who said it needed to acclimatise and gave me some instructions. While following these instructions, the plant got worse, as a number of leaves started to curl and go brown. Upon closer inspection, there were two rhizomes in a single pot and one of them was suffering from root rot. I am hoping i can save the good one, but i dont think i should have to deal with this so soon after purchasing the item. Clearly Houseplant.co.uk have lots of happy customers and so i can only conclude that i was unluckly. But, as the Dragon Scale was expensive, I wont be buying from them again.
